Uniform

When your child joins our squadron they will join our ITF (Initial Training Flight) and be issued their 'green coveralls'. These are multi purpose but also give them a sense of being in uniform and part of a team. During their ITF training they will be measured for their 'blue' uniform which will arrive in time for them to 'pass out'.

Blue Uniform

We will provide all Blue uniform free of charge, excluding parade shoes. The staff will be able to give advice on the best places to make such purchases.

Green Uniform

We will provide some Green uniform free of charge, excluding combat boots. The staff will be able to give advice on the best places to make such purchases.

Other Squadron Clothing

Polo shirts and Hoodies can be purchased at modest cost for wearing on non-uniform occasions.

For the period that your child does not have uniform we ask that when the Squadron is in blue uniform, they wear school uniform or smart clothes, and appropriate clothing when the Squadron is in Greens. Suitable footwear is required for both occasions.

Each cadet is responsible for the upkeep of their uniform. If your child outgrows it, or it succumbs to general wear and tear, it will be replaced free of charge.

If your child leaves the Air Cadets for whatever reason, they must return all issued uniform in a clean, tidy and wearable condition. Any uniform purchased privately may be kept.
